1. INTRODUCTION AND ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
These Terms and Conditions — hereinafter referred to as the Agreement or Terms — constitute a legally binding agreement between SecondStep Restoration — a division of TruePath Group LLC — hereinafter referred to as SecondStep Restoration the Company we us or our — and you the individual or entity accessing or using our website services or client portal — hereinafter referred to as you your or Client.
By accessing our website at secondsteprestoration.com using our secure client portal at portal.secondsteprestoration.com or engaging any of our credit restoration services you acknowledge that you have read understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms and Conditions please do not access or use our website portal or services.
2. COMPANY INFORMATION
SecondStep Restoration is a division of TruePath Group LLC operating in Ridgeland Mississippi. We provide professional credit restoration services to individuals and families throughout Central Mississippi.

3. CREDIT REPAIR ORGANIZATIONS ACT — CROA — DISCLOSURE
SecondStep Restoration operates in full compliance with the Credit Repair Organizations Act — 15 U.S.C. § 1679 et seq. — hereinafter referred to as CROA. As required by federal law we provide the following disclosures:
3.1 Your Legal Rights
You have the right to dispute inaccurate information in your credit report yourself free of charge. You may contact the credit reporting agencies directly — Equifax Experian and TransUnion — to dispute inaccurate incomplete or unverifiable information without paying SecondStep Restoration or any other company.
3.2 What We Cannot Do
SecondStep Restoration cannot and does not promise or guarantee the following:
- We cannot remove accurate information from your credit report
- We cannot guarantee a specific increase in your credit score
- We cannot guarantee that all disputed items will be removed from your credit report
- We cannot guarantee approval for any credit product loan or financial service
- We cannot perform any service that you could not legally do yourself
3.3 Right of Cancellation — Three Day Right of Rescission
You have the right to cancel any contract with SecondStep Restoration without penalty or obligation within three business days of signing the contract. Notice of cancellation must be provided in writing to renewal@secondsteprestoration.com or by certified mail to our business address. Upon cancellation we will refund any payment made within ten business days.
3.4 No Advance Payment
SecondStep Restoration does not charge or collect any fees before the contracted services are fully performed. You will not be charged until services have been delivered in accordance with your selected service agreement and the three business day right of rescission period has expired.
4. SERVICES
4.1 Service Descriptions
SecondStep Restoration offers the following credit restoration services:
DIY Credit Restoration — a self-service program that provides clients with access to The Renewal Center client portal dispute letter templates credit education resources and a credit improvement action plan. The client is responsible for reviewing and submitting all dispute letters and taking all required actions.
Done With You — a guided credit restoration program in which SecondStep Restoration reviews the client's credit reports identifies dispute opportunities prepares customized dispute letters and guides the client through the submission process. The client is responsible for submitting disputes as directed.
Done For You Full Service — a comprehensive credit restoration program in which SecondStep Restoration handles all aspects of the credit restoration process on the client's behalf including preparing and submitting dispute letters communicating with credit bureaus and creditors and providing regular progress updates.
Credit Monitoring — access to third party credit monitoring services through our partner providers Smart Credit and Identity IQ. Credit monitoring services are provided by third party partners and are subject to their respective terms and conditions.
4.2 Service Limitations
Our services are limited to the following:
- Reviewing your credit reports for inaccurate incomplete or unverifiable information
- Preparing and submitting dispute letters on your behalf — Done For You only
- Providing guidance and templates for dispute submissions — DIY and Done With You
- Communicating with credit bureaus and creditors on your behalf — Done For You only
- Providing credit education resources and guidance
4.3 No Guarantee of Results
SecondStep Restoration does not guarantee any specific outcome from our credit restoration services. Results vary depending on the content of your credit report the response of credit bureaus and creditors and your individual credit history. Past results achieved for other clients do not guarantee similar results for you.
4.4 Service Commencement
Services begin only after the following have been completed:
- You have signed the Credit Services Agreement
- You have signed and received the CROA Disclosure Statement
- You have signed and received the Three Day Right of Rescission Notice
- You have signed the FCRA Authorization Form
- The three business day right of rescission period has expired
- Payment has been confirmed
5. BILLING AND PAYMENT
5.1 Service Fees
Service fees are disclosed to you before you select a service and are confirmed in your Credit Services Agreement. All fees are charged on a monthly recurring basis.
5.2 Billing Cycle
Your billing date is the same calendar day each month as the date your services commenced following the three business day right of rescission period. Payment is processed automatically on your billing date.
5.3 Payment Methods
SecondStep Restoration accepts payment through the following methods:
- CPACharge
- Stripe
- Square
5.4 Failed Payments
If a payment fails we will retry the payment after three business days and notify you by email at the address on file. If payment continues to fail your access to services may be suspended until payment is received.
5.5 No Refund Policy
Because credit restoration services are performed on an ongoing basis fees paid for services already performed are non-refundable. However you may cancel future services at any time per Section 7 of these Terms.
5.6 Three Day Hold on Initial Payment
Your first payment will not be processed until three business days after you sign your Credit Services Agreement — as required by CROA. This gives you time to exercise your right of cancellation without any financial obligation.
6. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
By engaging our services you agree to the following responsibilities:
6.1 Accurate Information
You agree to provide accurate complete and truthful information to SecondStep Restoration at all times. Providing false or misleading information may result in immediate termination of services without refund.
6.2 Credit Report Access
You agree to provide SecondStep Restoration with access to your credit reports from Equifax Experian and TransUnion as authorized through your signed FCRA Authorization Form. You are responsible for obtaining and providing your credit reports as instructed.
6.3 Cooperation
You agree to cooperate fully with SecondStep Restoration including providing requested documents responding to communications in a timely manner and following our guidance throughout the credit restoration process.
6.4 Communication
You agree to maintain accurate and current contact information including email address and phone number. You are responsible for checking your email and portal for updates communications and results.
6.5 Prohibited Actions
You agree not to:
- Provide false information to credit bureaus or creditors
- Dispute accurate information on your credit report
- Apply for new credit using a new identity or credit file
- Take any action that violates federal or state law in connection with your credit repair
- Interfere with the credit restoration process in any way that could compromise the integrity of dispute submissions
6.6 Portal Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Renewal Center portal login credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at renewal@secondsteprestoration.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
7. CANCELLATION POLICY
7.1 Cancellation During Right of Rescission Period
You may cancel your Credit Services Agreement without penalty within three business days of signing by providing written notice to renewal@secondsteprestoration.com. All payments will be refunded within ten business days.
7.2 Cancellation After Right of Rescission Period
After the three business day right of rescission period you may cancel your services at any time by:
- Logging into your Renewal Center portal and clicking Cancel Subscription
- Emailing renewal@secondsteprestoration.com with your cancellation request
- Calling 601-605-7696 during business hours
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to your service tier through the end of the period for which you have paid.
7.3 Effect of Cancellation
Upon cancellation:
- Your recurring billing will stop immediately
- Your portal access will continue through the end of your paid period
- Your results and documents will remain stored in our system for five years from your original test or service date
- You may request a certified copy of your results and documents at any time for a $25.00 certified mail fee
7.4 Cancellation by SecondStep Restoration
SecondStep Restoration reserves the right to cancel your services immediately without refund if:
- You provide false or fraudulent information
- You violate any provision of these Terms and Conditions
- You engage in conduct that is abusive threatening or harmful to our staff or operations
- You attempt to dispute accurate information on your credit report in violation of federal law
8. THE RENEWAL CENTER CLIENT PORTAL
8.1 Portal Access
Access to The Renewal Center client portal at portal.secondsteprestoration.com is provided as part of your selected service tier. Portal access is personal to you and may not be shared transferred or assigned to any other person.
8.2 Portal Access Limitations
Your portal access to results and documents is subject to the following time limits:
- Standard access — 30 days from the date results or documents are uploaded
- Extended access options are available for an additional fee as disclosed in the portal
- After your access period expires your results and documents remain stored in our system for five years from the original date
8.3 Acceptable Use
You agree to use The Renewal Center portal only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the portal
- Use the portal to transmit harmful or malicious content
- Attempt to reverse engineer copy or reproduce any part of the portal
- Share your login credentials with any other person
8.4 Portal Availability
SecondStep Restoration will make reasonable efforts to ensure the portal is available at all times. However we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and reserve the right to perform maintenance updates and improvements that may temporarily affect availability.
9. FAIR CREDIT REPORTING ACT — FCRA — COMPLIANCE
SecondStep Restoration operates in full compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act — 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. We only access your credit reports after receiving your written authorization through our FCRA Authorization Form. We use your credit report information solely for the purpose of providing the credit restoration services you have requested.
You have the following rights under the FCRA:
- The right to know what is in your credit file
- The right to dispute inaccurate information
- The right to have inaccurate information corrected or deleted
- The right to know if information in your file has been used against you
- The right to seek damages from violators
- The right to file complaints with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau — CFPB
10. THIRD PARTY SERVICES
10.1 Credit Monitoring Partners
SecondStep Restoration offers access to third party credit monitoring services through Smart Credit and Identity IQ. These services are provided by independent third party companies and are subject to their respective terms conditions and privacy policies. SecondStep Restoration is not responsible for the services content or practices of these third party providers.
10.2 Payment Processors
Payment processing is handled by CPACharge Stripe and Square. These are independent third party payment processors with their own terms conditions and privacy policies. SecondStep Restoration does not store your payment card information.
10.3 Third Party Links
Our website and portal may contain links to third party websites. SecondStep Restoration is not responsible for the content privacy practices or terms of any third party website.
11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on the SecondStep Restoration website and portal — including text graphics logos images dispute letter templates credit education materials and software — is the property of SecondStep Restoration or its content providers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce distribute modify create derivative works of publicly display or commercially exploit any content from our website or portal without our express written permission.
Dispute letter templates provided through The Renewal Center are licensed to you for personal use only in connection with your own credit restoration. They may not be shared sold or used for any commercial purpose.
12. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
SecondStep Restoration provides its services on an as-is and as-available basis. We make no warranties express or implied including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties that our services will produce specific results including any specific credit score improvement
- Warranties that all disputed items will be removed from your credit report
- Warranties that our services will result in approval for any credit product
